There are some very fine purple daylilies out there, so a new introduction must be something different and excellent.
Dark Regent is a heavy well- formed flower whose base color is very dark purple with a touch of blue.  The green throat is surrounded by a washed eye, the petal edge is very ruffled and pleated in silver white. The wide sepals are enhanced with ½ wide white edge.  This is a state of the art purple daylily.
