- Mrs. William Kemble du Pont (1876-1951) was one of America’s foremost horticulturists. Her collection of orchids, peonies, daylilies and other plants are legend. Likewise her expertise as a plant hybridizer and conservator of plants was known and appreciated throughout the world.
- This flower is a large, flat, full flower with extremely iridescent deep fuchsia rose color. The seedlings from MRS. WILLIAM KEMBLE du PONT are proving to be generations ahead of what I normally see in the garden. This is a great parent plant.
